A bus station was minutes from place. Spotless rooms with balcony and a decent terrace plus a good view, felt like home. The breakfast was marvellous with an amazing view, different food.

It is an inviting place with a lovely terrace overlooking the fine gardens and nearby fruit trees, and a refreshing pool for relaxation after hiking.

Charming garden, delicious breakfast, the location is only 13 km from the nearest airport which makes it convenient for a short getaway.

The steep access to the hotel might be challenging for some guests.

There were some annoyances. For one, I found a cockroach in the room! The so-called soundproofing didn't seem effective as I could hear guests coming in at odd hours. The parking situation isn't private, which adds a layer of concern. Lastly, the kitchen has early closing hours which could catch you off guard if you're planning a late snack.

It was just a fitting option for a short interlude in Funchal with extraordinarily good value for money. The warm welcome from the staff made our stay pleasant, enjoying peace and quiet alongside lovely views. Make sure to check the hours for food and drink service to avoid missing out.
